29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: a) East Orange General Hospital Emergency Department - 300 Central Ave., East Orange, NJ The employer did not provide medical evaluations for employees including, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who were provided and required to wear N-95 respirators while caring for COVID-19 positive patients and COVID-19 patients under investigation. Violation occurred on or about 4/20/2020 and thereafter.
