29 CFR 1910.157(e)(1): The employer shall be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and testing of all portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. Warehouse, portable ABC dry chemical fire extinguishers: on or about February 12, 2020, multiple portable ABC fire extinguishers provided in the workplace were not maintained in serviceable condition and required recharging. Employees working in the area were exposed to fire hazards during incipient stage of firefighting. There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item corrected during inspection.
