29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees. a. Pentair Flow Technologies, LLC located in Ashland, OH: On or about December 4, 2019 the employer did not ensure employees performing pattern changeover operations were properly trained on the company's lockout program. Employees were not placing a lockout device on the electrical disconnects for the Hunter #1 and the Hunter #2 molding machines located in the foundry area but were rather placing their lockout locks on the e-stops which are considered control circuits.
