29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control thereby exposing employees to struck-by hazards. a. On or about November 26, 2019, and at times prior, employees were performing service and maintenance activities on multiple 6-Place hydraulic presses in Department 13 and 14 without isolating and controlling all hazardous energy sources. The covered activities included, but were not limited to, maintenance on machines, tooling adjustments, tooling change-outs, and valve change-outs. The employees performed tasks as authorized employees without receiving adequate training.
