29 CFR 1910.269(c)(5): An employee working alone need not conduct a job briefing. However, the employer shall ensure that the tasks to be performed are planned as if a briefing were required. At the facility located at 12567 FM 3430 Vernon, Texas: the employer verbally assigned an employee to check energized 480v circuit fuses at a control panel without planning/discussing the safety hazards associated with the work. The employee was exposed to electric shock and arc flash hazards.
