29 CFR 1910.213(c)(2): Hand-fed circular ripsaws were not furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or being thrown back on the operator: (a) Physical Plant Wood Shop State College PA - Employees used a Powermatic III circular table saw to cut wood used for campus repairs. The hand-fed circular saw did not have a spreader to keep the wood from squeezing the saw blade and being kicked back exposing employees to a struck-by hazard, on or about August 8, 2019. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
