Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1026(i)(3)(ii): The employer shall ensure that employees who have skin contact with chromium (VI) wash their hands and faces at the end of the work shift and prior to eating, drinking, smoking, chewing tobacco or gum, applying cosmetics, or using the toilet. The employer is failing to protect the employees from the hazards associated with residual chromium (VI) ingestion hazards, and contact hazards. This was most recently documented on July 7, 2019 at Great Dane Trailers 1200 N. Centennial Drive Wayne, NE. Ingestion and contact hazards from the resulting condition of not washing their hands, and face prior to lunch, and break periods when eating, drinking, smoking, toilet use, or other activities compromising ingestion routes were noted at the time of the inspection.
