29 CFR 1910.176(c): Storage areas were not kept free from accumulation of materials that constituted hazards from tripping, fire, explosion or pest harborage. The employer did not ensure that the stock room was free of tripping and fire hazards where boxes and U-boats (merchandise carts) were strewn in an unorganized manner throughout the storage area. a. On or about May 10, 2019, and times prior thereto, boxes, merchandise, and product carts (U-boats) were not stored in an organized manner exposing employees to tripping and fire hazards. b. On or about August 23, 2019, and times prior thereto, boxes, merchandise, and products carts (U-boats) were not stored in an organized manner exposing employees to tripping and fire hazards. Dollar Tree Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1269761, citation number 1, item number 2B issued on June 14, 2018, and was affirmed as a final order on September 7, 2018, with a final abatement date of September 10, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 115 S. Havana Street, Unit 23, Aurora, CO 80012; and Dollar Tree Inc. was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.176(c), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1017821, citation number 2, item number 3 issued on July 6, 2015, and was affirmed as a final order on December 9, 2015, with a final abatement date of November 4, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 630 Wellwood Avenue, Lindenhurst, NY 11757.
