29 CFR 1926.1153(d)(1): The employer did not ensure that employees were not exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 ug/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA: a) 380 Mountain Rd., Union City, NJ -parking garage On 04/29/2019, employees using jack hammers to remove concrete barrier were exposed to crystalline respirable silica at an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) of 119.7 micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m3) and 311.2 ug/m3, which are 2.4 and 6.2 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 ug/m3. Zero exposure was assumed for unsampled periods of 135 minutes and 140 minutes respectively. Condition occurred on or about 04/29/2019
