29 CFR 1910.107(i)(6): Grounding - general. All electrically conductive objects in the spraying area shall be adequately grounded. This requirement shall apply to paint containers, wash cans, and any other objects or devices in the area. The equipment shall carry a prominent permanently installed warning regarding the necessity for this grounding feature. a) Armor Consolidated Inc., located in Lebanon Ohio, on or about October 24, 2018, the employer did not ensure that all objects in the spraying area were grounded. An employee working in the batch paint booth in the back of the facility was exposed to a fire explosion hazard while powder coating equipment that was not grounded.
