29 CFR 1910.266(h)(1)(iii): While manual felling was in progress, yarding machine were operated within two tree lengths of trees being manually felled. Exception: This provision does not apply to yarding machines performing tree pulling operations. a) Logging Area, 609 Jebb Road, Camden Delaware - On or about 02 OCT 2018, the employer failed to ensure that John Deere 548D Grapple Skidder, used to transport felled trees from the fall area to the landing, was not operated within two tree lengths of trees being felled. Employees were exposed to struck by hazards while operating a John Deere 58D Grapple Skidder used for yarding approximately 15 feet from a tree being felled measuring approximately 58 feet in height.
