29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6): The control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tagout). General - Periodic inspection. 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. On or about September 18, 2018, the employer failed to adequately perform the annual periodic inspection of the facility energy control procedures to assure that the requirements of the standard were followed. The employer did not perform an inspection specific to the air handling unit 18 energy control procedure and did not review authorized employee responsibilities under this energy control procedure during their periodic inspection activities.
