29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. a) On or about June 27, 2018, and at times prior thereto: Employees were utilizing a Graco GH 933 Heavy Duty Hydraulic Airless Sprayer, with a Honda 390DX 13HP engine. A grounding clamp to an earth ground to limit static electricity was not established. Employees were not trained in methods and procedures to avoid the accumulation of static electricity during roofing operations. b) On or about June 27, 2018, and at times prior thereto: Employees were utilizing a Graco GH 933 Heavy Duty Hydraulic Airless Sprayer, with a Honda 390DX 13HP engine. The engine was not allowed to cool off prior to refueling. Employees were not trained in methods and procedures to avoid flammable hazards during gasoline refueling of internal combustion engines during roofing operations.
