Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. Information and training may be designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information must always be available through labels and safety data sheets: a) United Insulators, Inc. 1206 Osceola Street Denver, CO 80204: On or before April 06, 2018, the employer did not provide information and training to employees in regards to safety data sheets. Employees used chemicals such as window and door foam as well as fire block foam. This condition exposed employees to chemical irritations to eyes, respiratory, and skin due to employee lack of knowledge regarding chemical hazards.
