29 CFR 1910.252(c)(1)(iii): Local exhaust or general ventilating systems were not provided and arranged to keep the amount of toxic fumes, gases, or dusts below the maximum allowable concentration as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1000: The employer is failing to protect employees from respiratory hazards. This was most recently documented on January 31, 2018 at 56265 702 Rd Mahaska, Kansas. The employer failed to evaluate the employee(s) exposure to combustion exhaust gases and fumes when conducting welding operations within the hog confinements. The employees were conducting arc welding utilizing three Hobart Generator/Welder(s) equipped with a 305 cubic centimeter 14.50 foot pounds gross torque Briggs and Stratton, series 1450 gasoline combustion engine.
