29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d) and protective equipment or any other protective measures are not used to keep the exposure of employee to air contaminants within the limits prescribed: a) Garage Area: Employees were using gasoline powered cleaning equipment to clean the garage floors and were exposed to carbon monoxide at levels greater than the permissible exposure limit of 50 parts per million. (See Citation 1.1a for full description) Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determine or implemented to maintain the employees' exposure below the permissible exposure limit, on or about December 27, 2017. Feasible abatement methods include but are not limited to: 1. Require all vans to be outside the garage while idling or in use. 2. Install ventilation in the Garage Area. No abatement certification or documentation required.
