29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point of operation guards were not designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of their body in the danger zone during the operating cycle. a) Bagging Area, 157 Passan Drive, Laflin, PA - Employees operated four (4) bagging machines with inadequate guards (upper swing arms) that exposed employees to caught-in hazards (pinch point) between the closed lower swing arms and the discharge point of the forming tube/snouts, on or about June 5, 2017. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation.
