29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1): The employer did not train each employee who is exposed to noise at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.95(k). The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program: a) Kumho Tire Georgia, Inc., Macon, GA - In mixing building, first floor, the batch mill line #1 operator was exposed to noise at a time-weighted average of 99 dBA, which exceeded the 12 hours shift extended hours action level of 82.1 dBA. A noise training program had not been instituted, on or about 3/8/17. b) Kumho Tire Georgia, Inc., Macon, GA - In mixing building, first floor, the batch mill line #3 operator was exposed to noise at a time-weighted average of 97.6 dBA, which exceeded the 12 hours shift extended hours action level of 82.1 dBA. A noise training program had not been instituted, on or about 3/8/17. c) Kumho Tire Georgia, Inc., Macon, GA - In mixing building, first floor, the TSR operator was exposed to noise at a time-weighted average of 94.6 dBA, which exceeded the 12 hours shift extended hours action level of 82.1 dBA.
