29 CFR 1910.1052(e)(3): The employer did not require each affected employee to use a respirator whenever methylene chloride exposures were likely to exceed the 8-hour time weighted average permissible exposure limit or short term exposure limit: (a) On and before 02/08/2017, throughout spray area, for the employee wearing a dust mask while spraying duct work with adhesive containing ingredients such as, but not limited to, methylene chloride. Employee was exposed to methylene chloride at a short term exposure limit (STEL) of 178.740 ppm which has a severity of approximately 1.43 times the short term exposure limit (STEL) of 125.000 ppm. The sample was taken over a 15-minute period. The employer did not require each affected employee to use a respirator for methylene chloride.
