29 CFR 1910.184(i)(9): Synthetic web sling was not immediately removed from service for having snags, cuts and tears. a) On or about 02/15/17 in the Water Jet cutting area; employees were exposed to struck by hazards of dropping 100 pounds on their foot when the synthetic sling being used on the #3 Water Jet to lift the metal rings was cut, torn, damaged and the green indicator thread was visible. b) On or about 02/15/17 in the CNC area; employees were exposed to struck by hazards of dropping 75-100 pounds on their foot when the synthetic sling being used on the Mazak 450 to lift metal rings was cut, torn and damaged. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
