1910.147(c)(7)(i) The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: (a) Grayling Industries, Inc., Seaford, DE 19973 (Assembly Area) - On or about January 31, 2017, the employer failed to train employees operating and maintaining machines such as, but not limited to, Mini Pillow Machines, exposing employees to a finger amputation hazard. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit abatement certification and documentation, required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
