29 CFR 1910.1000(c): An employee(s) was exposed to respirable and total dust in excess of the 8-hour time weighted average limits of 5 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) and 15 mg/m3 respectively, listed in Table Z-3: a) Abrasive blast cleaning room, on or about 8/23/16: An abrasive blaster who performed abrasive blasting operations was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 39 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of respirable dust or 7.8 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 5 mg/m3, during the 480 minute sampling period. b) Abrasive blast cleaning room, on or about 7/14/16: An abrasive blaster who performed abrasive blasting operations was exposed to an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 370 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3) of respirable dust or 24.7 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 15 mg/m3, during the 404 minute sampling period. A zero increment was included for the 76 minutes not sampled. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item
