29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: Employees were exposed to hazards created by rotating parts that was not guarded on the following equipment: a. Employees servicing and cleaning the Blood Bliss hammermill were exposed to the shaft end of the hammermill auger that was exposed approximately 5-10" above the floor the mill. b. Employees cleaning, servicing or walking near the shaft end of Auger #5 were exposed to the end of the auger shaft and the shaft was not guarded.
