29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: On or about May 18th, 2015: The employer did not provide training to ensure that employees understood that lockout tagout was required when performing any servicing and/or maintenance activities on conveyors located within freezer induct stations. Employees were trained to use a system where the equipment was placed in a manual/bypass mode for some servicing and/or maintenance activities while lockout tagout was performed for mechanical repair only. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
