29 CFR 1910.107(c)(2): Open flame or spark producing equipment was within a spraying area and/or within 20 feet thereof, was not separated by a partition: Spray room, 425 St James Ave, Springfield MA: Employees performing spray operations were exposed to fire/explosion hazards from open flame and spark producing equipment that had been used regularly during spray painting of ambulances. (a) An open flame furnace was present at the front wall of the spray area (b) A hand held pneumatic wire wheel capable of producing sparks was located within the spraying area (c) The Central Machinery eight inch bench grinder, a table mounted grinding/abrasive machine capable of producing sparks, was located within the spraying area.
