29 CFR 1926.416(e)(1): Worn or frayed electric cords or cables were used: a- West Side of Worksite - 12 Montclaire Road, Lot 19, Medford NJ: On or about 02/12/15 worksite company employees were exposed to electrical hazards when using an orange extension cord whose outer covering was visibly damaged. The employer did not ensure that these cords were free from recognized hazards prior to being used. b - East Side of Worksite - 12 Montclaire Road, Lot 19, Medford NJ: On or about 02/12/15 worksite company employees were exposed to electrical hazards when using an orange extension cord whose outer covering was visibly damaged. The employer did not ensure that these cords were free from recognized hazards prior to being used. IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
