29 CFR 1910.23(c)(3): Regardless of height, open-sided floors, walkways, platforms, or runways above or adjacent to dangerous equipment, pickling or galvanizing tanks, degreasing units, and similar hazards were not guarded with a standard railing and toe board. a. Densifier area - The open sided platform over the feed conveyor for the shredder on Densifiers 1 and 2 was not guarded with a standard guardrail thereby exposing the employees to dangerous equipment such as the conveyor/shredder.
