29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Where exposure monitoring was required under 29 CFR 1926.1101, the employer did not perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were or potentially were exposed: a) In the period between 20th and 23rd of June 2014, the employer did not perform exposure monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were potentially exposed while removing asbestos thermal insulation system (TSI) pipe elbows containing 5-35% chrysotile asbestos and PACM floor tile and mastic in the cafeteria. The TSI elbows were on the south wall of the cafeteria and eight other spray painted TSI pipe elbows in the school were also removed, thereby exposing employees to the hazards associated with asbestos.
