29 CFR 1910.1026(c): Employees were exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium (VI) which exceeded 5 micrograms per cubic meter of air, as an 8-hour time-weighted average: a) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting aircraft parts. This violation occurred on 8/12/2014, in the paint booth on the south corner of building 3001, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of twenty-seven (27) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 441 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 39 minutes. b) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting aircraft parts. This violation occurred on 12/22/2014, in the paint booth on the south corner of building 3001, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of twenty-nine (29) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 87 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 393 minutes. c) The employer does not ensure that no employees are exposed to an airborne concentration of chromium(VI) of five (5) micrograms per cubic meter as an eight (8) hour time weighted average (TWA) while painting aircraft parts. This violation occurred on 12/22/2014, in the paint booth on the south corner of building 3001, when an employee was exposed to an eight-hour time weighted average concentration of thirty-four (34) micrograms per cubic meter of chromium(VI) when sampled for 87 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for the un-sampled 393 minutes.
