29 CFR 1926.251(c)(8): Slings used in a basket hitch shall have the loads balanced to prevent slippage: a) On or about May 23, 2014 at a jobsite located at 710 W. Schiller Street, Chicago, IL - employees performing precast concrete erection used a basket hitch to rig a precast plank. The precast concrete plank slipped from the basket hitch when the employees attempted to angle it onto the existing deck, thereby exposing employees to struck-by hazards.
