29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i): Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet (1.8m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Employees were exposed to 50 ft fall hazard working without fall protection at the outer edges of the top deck (5th floor) during concrete construction; employees were installing plywood deck floor and stringers at the outer edges. Employees wore harnesses but did not have lifelines (or retractible lifelines). Location: 81 Fleet Place, Brooklyn, N.Y; construction worksite. On or about 2/24/2014 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
