29 CFR 1910.107(c)(9)(i): All metal parts of spray booths, exhaust ducts, and piping systems conveying flammable liquids or liquids or aerated solids were not properly electrically grounded in an effective and permanent manner: a) Flammable wash spray booth - The metal spray nozzle used to apply EXXSOL D60 Fluid, a class III combustible solvent (dearomatized hydrocarbons) was not electrically grounded.. On or about 6/27/13. b) Flammable paint spray booth - The metal spray nozzle used to apply class 1B ad 1C flammable paints such as, but not limited to PPG Industries Safety Orange 2.08 VOC Ultra (heptan-2-one), PPG Industries Multiprime EFD Inhibitive Primer (xylene, toluene, ethylbenzene), and PPG Industries97-725 (xylene, toluene, 2-(propyloxy)ethanol) was not electrically grounded. On or about 6/27/13. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
