29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): All traffic control signs and devices used for protection of the workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Millennium Edition Section 6C.05 (Transition Area): a) On or about 5/16/13 on State Route 394 west of Quillian Road in Westfield, New York; employees were installing a new communications cable while working from the west bound shoulder with encroachment into the west bound lane. There were no challelizing devices (cones, tubular markers, vertical panels, etc) in place to establish the workzone or guide road users around the work activities. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
