29 CFR 1926.451(b)(1): Each platform on all working levels of scaffolds was not fully planked or decked between the front uprights and the guardrail supports as specified in paragraphs 1926.451(b)(1)(i)-(ii). Location: 42 West Street, Brooklyn, NY. 5th level roof elevator shaft. a) Employees were working approximately 24 feet high on the tubular welded frame scaffold that was not fully planked on or about 09/18/2012. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY of 1,000.00, IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
