Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a) The acetylene cylinder stored outside was not secured and could be damaged by falling. The employees working in the parts and supply bldg. were exposed to explosion/burn hazards from the acetylene cylinder not secured. One suitable means of abatement is to secure the acetylene cylinders with a chain at the storage rack. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIREDATION
