Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling construction materials: a)On or about 9/12/08, In the Goodrich Facility: The pre engineered building was not being installed as per the manufacturers directions. Feasible and acceptable abatement methods, among others, to correct this hazard is: 1) Follow the installation requirements set forth by the manufacture. 2) Follow installation plans developed by a licensed professional engineer.
