Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard: STRUCK BY
Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard: On or before 12/11/03, at the Alamo maintenance area, employees working and walking in the yard were exposed to the hazard of being struck by moving buses. One feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to require keys to be removed from parked buses. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
