Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard: CRUSHING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being caught in moving parts of the conveyor. 2400 Tonnelle Ave., North Bergen, NJ: Employees were subject to a caught in/crushing hazard while working around/with the trummell 830 power screener. Violation occurred on or about 3/7/01 AMONG OTHER METHODS ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO: 1. Develop and implement " Safe Operating Procedures" for equipment such as, but not limited to, the Trommel 830 Power Screener.
