North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a)jobsite; The Addison East Moorehead - employee working at an elevation of approximately 90 feet was not equipped with a full body harness to include a shock absorbing lanyard. In the alternative:29 CFR 1926.502(d) Personal Fall Arrest Systems: Effective January 1, 1998, body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system. Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure employees only use a body harness as a means of personal fall protection.
