29 CFR 1926.55(a)(2): An employee(s) was exposed to substance(s) with a permissible exposure limit not preceded by (C) at concentrations above that specified in Table 1 of �1926.55 for that substance(s): (a)PKG Contracting, Inc. at 29698 135th Street, Selby, SD 57472: On or about and at times prior to February 24, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees' exposure to carbon monoxide was below 50 ppm, the 8-hour PEL, in that the 8-hour TWA was calculated to be in excess of 116.0 ppm, more than 2.32 times the allowable limit. Employees were exposed to carbon monoxide when operating gasoline-powered equipment in a confined space without adequate ventilation. (b)PKG Contracting, Inc. at 29698 135th Street, Selby, SD 57472: On or about and at times prior to February 24, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees' exposure to carbon monoxide was below 50 ppm, the 8-hour PEL, in that the 8-hour TWA was calculated to be in excess of 103.0 ppm, more than 2.06 times the allowable limit. Employees were exposed to carbon monoxide when operating gasoline-powered equipment in a confined space without adequate ventilation.
