29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a) Facility, 899 Plank Road, Duncansville, PA: On January 21, 2025, the employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present in that an employee was exposed to fall hazards while using a portable battery jumper to charge a vehicle's dead battery on the 2nd level of a car carrier and fell approximately 8 feet to the ground below. b) Facility, 899 Plank Road, Duncansville, PA: On January 21, 2025 or about, the employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present in that an employee was exposed to fall hazards while using a portable battery jumper to charge a vehicle's dead battery on a single level car carrier that was approximately 4.5 above the ground.
