29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2):The employer did not initiate and maintain a safety program which provides for frequent and regular inspections of jobsites, materials, and equipment to be made by a competent person a) On or about February 4, 2025, at a worksite located at 1776 K Street NW, Washington DC; the employer had failed to ensure a competent person had conducted inspections of procedures, and processes ensuring that potential hazards such as, hazards that an operator is exposed to while operating vehicles/machinery such as MEC Micro 26 AC scissor lift across 6 lanes of traffic, are recognized as well as the development of appropriate control measures. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
