29 CFR 1915.71(b)(5): Scaffolds shall be maintained in a safe and secure condition. Any component of the scaffold, which is broken, burned or otherwise defective shall be replaced. On or about December 22, 2024, at location 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin: employer failed to maintain Saflock System Scaffold in a safe and secure position where scaffold planks were loose and not secured resulting in two sub-contractor employees falling approximately 12 feet. Fincantieri Marine Group, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1915.71(b)(5), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1759523, citation number 1, item number 1-a and was affirmed as a final order on October, 2, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
