29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): ASB Sports Acquisitions doing business as Game One located at 11500 Tailwinds Drive in Swanton, Ohio; On or about October 17, 2024 the employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or likely present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment. Employees working in the Screen Reclaim Department handled cleaning chemicals such as, but not limited to, RISE Ink Wash Concentrate, Pregasol CF-20, and GEM-ZYME Concentrated Emulsion Remover. Employees dispensing and spraying cleaning agents were exposed to hazards associated with sulfuric acid, sodium periodate, and orthoperiodic acid such as but not limited to skin irritation, eye irritation, chemical burns, and damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure.
