29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): (a) Throughout the facility; On or about October 10, 2024, and dates prior, the employer did not perform a proper assessment of the workplace to identify personal protective equipment needs associated with exposure to eye/face hazards for employees who used a powered saw to process bone-in meat products and/or who worked with corrosive chemicals to clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, etc.
