29 CFR 1910.23(b)(8): Ladders are used only for the purposes for which they were designed. On or about September 5, 2024, at location 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin: an employee was exposed to fall hazards by improperly using a Titan 6-foot fiberglass A-frame step ladder leaning in the closed position in the new hull construction area (known as the Thruster area of Module B28802) within the graving dock. The ladder was not designed by the manufacturer to be used in the closed position.
