Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut: a. On or about August 14, 2024, at 11700 S. BELCHER RD, LARGO, FL 33773, in the pre-assembly area of the facility, an employee was using a table saw to cut Marine Starboard/Polymer, during which time the saw blade safety hood had been removed. The employer, INTREPID POWERBOATS, INC., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (CFR 1910.213(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA number 1615279, citation number 01, Item number 001a, and was affirmed as a final order on 09/01/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 11700 S Belcher Rd LARGO, FL 33773.
