29 CFR 1926.1053(a)(17): Fixed ladder(s) without a cage or well did not have a clear width to the nearest permanent object of at least 15 inches (38 cm) on each side of the centerline of the ladder: a. On or about July 26, 2024, at the east side of the building, the employer exposed employees and contractors to an approximately 14-foot fall hazard, in that; employees were allowed to climb up and down a fixed ladder with a handrail obstructing the first two rungs.
