29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Air Contaminants. Table Z-1. Other substances -- 8-hour Time Weighted Averages. An employee's exposure to any substance in Table Z-1, the exposure limit of which is not preceded by a "C", shall not exceed the 8-hour Time Weighted Average given for that substance any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week. (a) On or about July 11, 2024, at the worksite located at 404 South Main Street, Bethel OH 45120, an employee was exposed to Carbon Monoxide produced by a gasoline-powered lawn mower at a level of 226.3 ppm as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average, approximately 4.53 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm. This exposure was determined by Carboxyhemoglobin calculations over 480 minutes.
