29 CFR 1926.1153(d)(1):The employer did not ensure that employees were not exposed to an airborne concentration of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 g/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA: Location: 8200 JFK Boulevard. North Bergen, New Jersey 07047. a) The employer did not ensure that employees were not exposed to levels of respirable crystalline silica in excess of 50 �g/m3, calculated as an 8-hour TWA. On May 14, 2024, an employee conducting grinding activities outdoors was exposed to 51 micrograms per cubic meter, which exceeds the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 50 �g/m3. The employee was sampled for 155 minutes. Zero exposure is assumed for the remaining 325 minutes. Violation occurred on or around May 14, 2024.
